Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Salman Shakeel ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the StudyMate AI mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.

Description of Service

StudyMate AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to help students learn. The App provides tools for asking questions, scanning problems, generating step-by-step explanations, creating structured notes, building flashcards, solving homework assignments, generating practice questions, and taking subject-based quizzes. The App is designed for personal, educational use by students.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to use the App.

User Responsibilities

You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Use the App to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
• Use the App to cheat on exams or violate your educational institution's academic integrity policies
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App

StudyMate is designed as a learning aid to help you understand concepts and solve problems. You are responsible for using the App in accordance with your school's or university's academic integrity policies. The App is not a substitute for your own learning and effort.

AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations, notes, flashcards, practice questions, and quiz content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical academic decisions. Always verify important information with your instructor, textbook, or other reliable sources.

The AI responses are generated based on the input you provide and may vary in quality depending on the clarity and completeness of your input. The App does not guarantee specific grades, test scores, or academic outcomes.

Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, code, graphics, and user interface, is owned by Salman Shakeel and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

"StudyMate," "StudyMate AI," the StudyMate logo, and related names are trademarks of Salman Shakeel. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.

User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App, including but not limited to questions, notes, flashcards, and study materials. You grant us a limited license to process and store this content solely to provide the App's functionality.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the App. You represent and warrant that your content does not violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party AI service providers to generate responses to your questions. These providers process your input solely to generate the requested output. We also link to third-party services such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

THE APP IS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOMES, GRADES, OR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE. AI-GENERATED CONTENT MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES AND SHOULD BE VERIFIED WITH PRIMARY SOURCES.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SALMAN SHAKEEL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Salman Shakeel, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through informal negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the developer's jurisdiction.

App Store Additional Terms (iOS)

• These Terms are between you and Salman Shakeel, not Apple Inc.
• Apple has no responsibility for the App or its content
• You may use the App only on Apple-branded devices you own or control
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the App
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession or use of it
• Apple has no responsibility for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim
